Good Mood Foods That Make You Happy. A Nourished Body Creates A Healthy Brain and A Happy Life.
It’s time to choose food that you love AND that loves you back. This is the secret to boosting your happiness. See the list of foods that make you happy at the bottom of this post.
When we ask ourselves when we eat if what we are about to consume will nourish our body or not, we are in complete control.
Choosing foods that nourish our body and are designed to support it is so important for our mood.
We simply need to choose foods in their most natural form and include them in our healthy food routines.
On the other hand, avoiding foods that steal our happiness like the ones in the SAD diet – Standard American Diet – is filled with foods that are loaded with unhealthy ingredients and artificial chemicals that are detrimental to your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
The SAD diet increases depression, anxiety and many other mental disorders, as well as diabetes, hypertension, etc. All the opposite to happiness.
Try staying away from food with pesticides, highly processed, high glycemic index foods that spikes blood sugar, artificially colored and sweetened, and many other toxins including meats from animals given antibiotics as well as foods stored in plastic containers.
Choose foods that are mostly raw, not packaged, not fried, not “fast” served, and foods that if labeled – are completely and totally understandable when you read the ingredients. If you can’t recognize the weird ingredient name, don’t put it in your body. It’s that simple!
When shopping at the grocery store, stay on the outer aisles because most of the products down the aisles contain harsh preservatives. Go mostly for organic foods both veggies and fruits. Try meat and food free from pesticides, herbicides, hormones, and antibiotics.
Look for meat that is free-range from farms where the animals were cared for and loved.
As the old saying goes “Eat your fruits and veggies”. It truly cannot be simpler than that. If you don’t like to eat vegetables, try juicing them.
A nourished body creates a healthy brain and a happy life.
